cannot hit fish with arrow

i cant get the fish with a bow achievement, the arrow just pass by the fish and wont hit

Certain ponds and spots in the ponds have fish swimming around that just act as 'decoration'. Take a dip into the water and if the fish are still there, you can hit them.

What you can try is just go for a swim and shoot one with an arrow while you are underwater. That should work and pop the achievement.

This is a bug. I go diving and no matter what arrow I use, the arrows just fly through every fish without affecting them. The moment I switch to melee and hit the fish it dies. It might be one of the updates that broke the ability to fish with arrows.

Had the same issue. Spammed a few arrows through the water. But luckily I get angry pretty fast, jumped into the pond and killed them with my knife. It works! Later I crafted the fish traps, huge amounts of fish. Even rare ones.

i tried with 100 cobalt arrows under water. I saw the fish act like it was hit, but it didnt die. i swipe with my fist only and it dies.

The developers have a fools errand quest. lol. I did try though, and boy was i fooled.

I think this task is impossible. The scales are god like and even Godzilla who can swim is laughing at us shooting arrows aimlessly in water.

I am glad I searched the forum because it was driving me nuts that I was unable to do this. Glad everybody can also confirm that this is a bugged achievement.

I managed to get this achievement just fine. Although I will note that it does not work if you use a crossbow.

That said I don't remember if I got it while playing solo or as a client on my brother's game. If you are having trouble by yourself or as a client, try swapping and see if that helps.

Edit: This was back in January though, so maybe a patch broke it?

I've been playing for maybe 2 months now, and this achievement is bugged. I've been in every body of water on Olympus trying this and it doesn't work. You can knife ANY fish and it kills them, but arrows go through everything and don't register.

yeah it's been bugged since i started playing, one of the first things i tried to do was bowfish before even knowing theres an achievement but it just passes through them no matter what you do
