Icarus
Who came up with these achievements?
I'll say right away that I'm going to complain about achievements and I know that a large part of the audience doesn't care about achievements, but I think there are people who would support me.

What's the point of achievements for 30k kills and a full bestiary?? How many hours do you need to spend on it? After completing all the missions, I don't think you'll even come close to completing this? And what's left for me, just wandering around for hours and killing everything you can? And the bestiary, there are animals that spawn rarely, like a bear, how long does it take to fill its card?

I'm not at all against difficult and long achievements like completing all the missions. It's interesting and probably long. Or catching all types of fish, an interesting goal, cooking all the dishes - great. It can open up the game from new sides, and it's cool.

But what's the point of these wild numbers? Why so many? If you think about it, for each type of weapon (bow, firearm, and melee) to comfortably get 10k you need to fully level up the branch of a specific weapon, and if you, like me, play in the free world, this becomes a small problem, it turns out you need to create a new character for 2 other weapons, but it didn't bother me much against the background of these numbers..(

I haven't spent much time in the game, I like it, I think I'll try these 2 DLCs, and 1 more that's already on the way. But I like to complete the game for all achievements and this scares me. I've heard opinions that if the numbers were lower, it wouldn't really be an achievement, but I think that the pleasure of playing the game shouldn't turn into work.

Do you think it's possible to influence this number? :IFHeart:

Bear spawns rarely? Me in my open world. "Was that a bear?" "Another bear?" "Did I hear a bear?" I wish they spawned rarely lol.

I checked and counted, and in this question, using the example of bears, you are right. To completely fill the bestiary, you need 800 points, 3 points for killing, 4 Skin with Taxidermy Knife, 4 craft trophies, and 6 Scan using B.E.A.S.T. That is, if I understood everything correctly, you need about 50 bears? If so, then this is really not a problem, especially again against the background of 30k

Bears are way more common in the 2nd forest area. The first one, is mainly wolves and deer, with some boars and MAYBE one bear. My open world is in the north west of the map and that area has so many damn bears that love to attack me at night when I'm mining silica lol.

Had an epic showdown with one yesterday during a lightning storm, that resulted in a scary game of ring-around-the rosie until I could sprint away (Knife and gun both broke in the fight, bear was level 98) So I sprinted back home, only to get struck by lightning at my front door and die on my steps lol. Icarus is a different type of game sometimes.
As others have mentioned, bears spawn much more frequently in the Riverlands area on Olympus, less so in the forest. I just wanted to also point out that spawn rates are also affected by mission if you are doing operations, so in addition to "where" you are being a factor, so is "what you are doing".

I recently did the operation where I had to collect a metric ton of various types of meats and I got the Tbone (which comes from bears) done faster than several of the other cuts of meat, so bears are more than plentiful enough as you progress through the game.

I don't argue. I was just afraid that it would be difficult to fill out the entire bestiary, if you imagine that you need to hunt a specific animal, and as an example, I named a bear, but then I studied the issue in more detail, and if the bestiary requires 50 bears, this is a trifle against the background of 30 thousand kills. But thanks! :praisesun:

It turns out that everything is much simpler, the problem comes down to a banal, insane number of murders. :MoonlighterIrritated:
For me it's the zebras that are the hardest...not because they aren't plentiful, but because I really don't like killing them. :steamsad:
