PAUSE in SOLO play
Isn't it about time there was a PAUSE function added for solo play. There are so many times when I've had to flip out to the Character Selection screen because there's no way to pause the game. It then takes forever to load back into the world. It is so frustrating.

I agree. No clue why they did't think about taking a pause rather then full on logging out.

I don't believe a pause function is needed in this game.
A pause function may ruin the survival experience.
I mean, A bear doesn't say "time out" if your about to kill it.

If they do decide to put in a pause function it would be only available when not in combat.

As someone who can play games in 15 minute spurts here and there, pause it great. As it stands, to pause the game, I have to "Exit to character selection" and then reload the game when I come back. If I'm playing solo with no options for anyone to join me, I see no reason why I cannot pause the game to walk away and deal with my family, with dinner, with my dog, with a call from work, or any of a myriad of other things that come up when I'm going about my life and grabbing a few minutes here or there for some gaming - and would save me the time that it takes for the game to load back in and stabilize every time I've got another 10 minutes available.

I disagree, I think if it’s offline, pause would work perfectly fine. A bear will stop just fine mid charge. Dying and not being there would ruin the survival aspect of the game. Having to load in every time you get back from a brief bathroom break would ruin the survival aspect of the game. Why would pause make any difference? Except for convenience. It’s less convenient for the player in the current state.

+1 for a solo pause option.
For those that want a real adventure, I agree: No Pause...and actually when the bear kills you - the game electrocutes you to death.....I think that way you will REALLY LOVE THE EXPERIENCE :P

Agreed, its a game.

With most of the offline features being trimmed to minimal it seems like a good time to add in a feature that should never be absent from something that isn't entirely online.

Totally agree! We need a pause button.

It just may be that you are too busy to actually sit down and enjoy it.
Scheduling time to play the game may work better instead of a pause function.

honestly, how would a pause option effect you? you seem to care so much about being against an option that literally wouldnt change gameplay..

Or...........people can live the lives they have without having to worry that a game needs scheduling of all things.

It's truly about Hard core players wanting a game that is exclusively hard. Bragging Rights is what they want. Catering to these kinds of players have destroyed many games. Servers get shut down or they barley make enough money to keep the servers open.

Seen it many times. Darkfall comes to mind. Tarkov's days are numbered as well.

The open world was a good step to give players more options, Broadened their customer base. I am sure I am not the only player who recently came to the game due to the release of the open world.

It’s usually best to just not use the pause option if they dislike it. It would be an optional feature like always. Which means it doesn’t cater to either side. If they don’t want it when it won’t impact their game, then who cares? Add it in. It only makes sense.
