Where have my crops gone

I haven't played in a bit, so i might have missed something in patch notes.

One of my wood crop plots keep emptying after about 10% of growth. It says no seed planted. Its a watered and fertilised plot and ive been putting watermelon seeds in it.

Oh and its not storms. Its disappearing during sunny weather. The stroms seem to be doing damage as expected.

No, never used mods.

Same problem. Some growing plants just disappear, in my case from random iron and aeroponic crop plots (fully connected) inside greenhouse.

Which biome are you trying to grow it in? Some are inhospitable for plant growth so you need to build a green house if you want to grow there. That aspect was added with the crop storm damage.

It might be your crop plot is bugged out too thinking it's in a different zone. Try picking it up and putting it back down next time you have to replant.

Recently ive had this happen. Ill have a 3x3 grid of crop plots and every so often a random one will be empty, no seed.

Can animals eat crops? Otherwise i guess its just an unfortunate bug. I ended up moving ht plot and it hasn't happened since.

Animals CAN eat crops! I don't know if this change happened during one of the patches where i wasn't playing icarus for a while or what, but i've seen them do it now. Thats actually great, because it means its not a bug and i actually like that it happens. Its realistic.

I know when I use the shovel it says what tier of storm it resists maybe a storm hit that was higher than your shovels protection gives and they got destroyed that way.

Ha i was wondering about that. I noticed a few of my crop plots were empty and there was a rabbit running around near them.

I have never successfully grown anything. I have a plot near one of my bee hives, I have watered it and fertilized it, and the plants just keep disappearing after a couple of minutes. My last attempt I was trying to plant a simple berry bush, and was watching its progress the entire time. At about 20% progress or less, it just vanished before my eyes and the plot says "no seed planted". No animals nearby, weather fine, sun shining. But nothing.

Erected a fence and solved the problem.

No mods. Single player.
Edit: I just tried again with four plots close together (as opposed to just the single plot before). This time the seeds in all four plots grew to completion. But I must have tried five or six times with that single plot to no avail.
