Reinforced glass recipe "empty" - no production possible.
I've unlocked the blue prints for glass and reinforced glass elements in Tier 3 yesterday.
Weird, but the blue print for reinforced glass shows an empty list of craftable items (the one for glass elements shows walls, windows etc.)
After that I built a working bench for glass and connected it to my running biofuel water pump. Glass bench tells me it's "IDLE"; all other consumers have been cut off, so just the glass bench is connected. Pump is working, 1000 Units of water are being delivered, but in the crafting menu, I only can produce normal glass.

Any ideas?

Cheers, Dom

Hi Dom,

It sounds like you're running into a couple of issues here. For the empty list under the reinforced glass blueprint, it might be worth checking if there’s a specific prerequisite for those items. Sometimes, certain items only become available after you've unlocked or crafted something else. You might want to double-check your blueprint or tech tree to see if anything is missing.

The fact that the glass bench is showing as "IDLE" isn't necessarily a problem. The issue might be related to how the water is being supplied to it. Since it's connected directly to the water pump. I suggest placing a water barrel between the water source and the glass bench. This way, the bench can draw from a steady supply, which might help resolve the issue.

If that doesn't resolve it, you might want to try reinstalling the bench from scratch in your base.

Cheers, Mundus

Hi Mundus and thanks for your answer.
The IDLE thing isn't a problem - all other devices show this state, when connected, but not in action. So, water pump works (tried it on the same connector as of the glass bench). So piping is fine.
The blue print branch is complete from the workbench over the cement mixer, glass bench, "normal" glass and then reinforced glass. No blueprint is missing in between.
The normal glass shows me all possible variants of producable items, but the reinforced glass, directly in behind, is empty.
I set the glass bench new and connected it; status IDLE is fine, but only normal glass is producable. The thing, that worries me, is the "Reinforced Glass" blue print in Tier 3. Unlocked, but the empty list of possible items. Can't figure out, where I missed anything or what happened there.

I still didn't get your "empty"... Could you share a screenshot of this empty recipe? As per your explanation, you are not missing anything so far.

If the recipes are missing or somehow show as abnormal it is usually a mod conflict. Not all mods are updated weekly so this could be your problem if you are using mods. It could be a problem even if you used mods in the past and removed them. Nothing wrong with using mods, it just breaks the game sometimes and work benches not operating properly is one of the most common symptoms.

First thing to try even if you haven't used mods would be a file verification from Steam. Steam Library -> Icarus Settings -> Installed Files -> Verify Integrity of Game Files

If that doesn't work and you've used mods previously or even just had the game installed for a long time - last time I did this I deleted an extra 20gb of *stuff* Steam left around after the uninstall and I've never used mods - you may need to clean sweep the install folder. Uninstalling does not clear the folder, only the files on the install manifest.

To clean sweep open up the install folder by going to Steam Library -> Icarus Settings -> Installed Files -> Browse then switch back to Steam and Uninstall the game. Switch back to the Install folder and delete anything that remains. Then install the game again. Your character save files and prospects are all saved in a different location that is left alone by the uninstall/install mechanic so no need to worry about them.

After that you should have a fresh install that all the benches work correctly in.
