Scenario 1 - you are actively playing and the 7 day timer on the game is plenty long to complete mission such that it is not an intriguing time frame. thus virtually meaningless
Scenario 2 - you are casual and or forgot you joined someone for an hour the last time you played. Lost forever.
What is this mechanic suppose to prove? Punish the ones that drift in and out of your game? I really don't see the point.
In your case with a lvl 44 character - normally i'm not into this and i think a lot of other players greatly disagree, but look into "Cheat Engine" and the already available Cheat Tables for it - haven't tried them, but after a short search, one of them is able to "Set Player Modifiers (Movement Speed, Experience Bonus, ...)" - since this isn't a PvP game, for me it would be ok - better than wasting money on a game, get frustrated and never play it again.
P.S funny part is when I did my test and poke a bear in hardcore few days back I did get my pickaxe back..so maybe they change remove from prospect to only give you your body but not items? That would be so so good move..
Triada, this post is not against you, it should show, what things the devs have implemented.
