Constantly respawning cave worms is a game ender for me

It's already a constant grind and a chore, then you get to die every time you wake up in a cave? I promise you, if you dont change that your game has no future

Either make a real house or you can build a box in the cave to protect you when you are sleeping/respawning

Just run in and stab them in the face with your favourite melee weapon. Two hits and they're dead. If you amp near the entrance, you only get one at most anyway.

there are higher tier items you can craft (like the dehumidifier) that will stop the worms re spawning. You get used to them, they're easy to chase off and give good exp.

Depends on the cave one in first snow zone can safely set up camp in as the floor drops off and the 1st worm spawn can't hit you in the entrance.
They are good early xp, and can be 1 shot with decent bow and arrows.

Caves are already cheesy to do base in due to shelter with no effort. There has to be some danger thus the cave worms, debuffs. Otherwise base building might as well not even be in the game. Deal with the dangers or don't sleep in a cave.

A cave should not be your respawn location and if it is out a wood house around your roll and put bow and arrow in your fire so you can rearm upon respawn. If you log out and in inside a cave prepare to be surrounded I killed 5 worms upon respawn. A long bow with bone arrow and stealth is a single shot to each head.

I just loaded a game from yesterday, where I've built some stuff inside the cave and was in the process of moving everything to a stone hut nearby.

Anyway, I loaded the game and went to the cave. Its entrance has respawned (meaning its blocked) so I'm there hitting it with my pick when I'm suddenly hit by not one, but TWO wall-piercing balls of blue goo.

I'm fine with the respawn, but do something about it shooting though walls! The splash area that ball covers is just too big

Since yesterday all cave entrance walls are missing for me but I had something similar happen on the first arctic mission. Just move out of cave to reinstance the worms and repeat. But after that my walls went away lol. I run right into all caves now.

Do worms respawn for groups if one person leaves the cave while others are inside? If not, that should be changed immediately. Group players are missing the real game experience in caves

Some advice. Caves have limited amount of worms. As example, cave have 6 worms in it. You enter the cave, 2 worms spawned at entrance spawn, you killed them put bedroll and campfire, leaved the cave. 4 worms left in cave. Next time, when you spawn, or comeback to cave, 2 of 4 left worms will spawn again at entrance spawns.
Yes, this 6 worms respawn with time, but if you kill all 6-you have much more time, before next will spawn.
