Watchtower beacon mission
I have scoured the discussions and tried all the tips and tricks, but I still can't get it! No matter what I try, once I get to a certain height (about 2 wall lengths from the correct height) things ALWAYS break no matter how stable I've built it. Floors between every section, full beam coverage....I'm out of ideas!

If i recall there are cliffs nearby. I believe you can build at an angle or out from them then up, make sure to use concrete for best stability, although I believe this can be done with stone..

What material are you using for the build? I always use stone frames (the big cubes) and never have an issue. I noticed that the base of the beacon has to be fully in the bubble, it cant be below. So I use stone frames and then take a stone floor with me if I need a few more inches. Stack a frame or two, add ladders, climb the ladder, add more frames, and then decide if I need to cap it off with a stone floor to get the beacon base inside the bubble.

Here you go, this is a thread with the same problem. OP includes screenshots on the solution he found further down the thread:

Long of it short, use the alternate shape button (look on the right side of screen to see what you bound it to) to put in cross beams.

I use the stone and concrete foundations and a number of ladders. Plop down two or three stone foundations on top of each other, then the concrete foundations to the top. Keep adding the ladders as the height increases as you will need to climb up the ladders to add the foundations and obviously to reach the top to pop down the beacon.

Once the beacon is placed can then easily remove the foundation one at a time and the character only drops down to the next foundation without any injury. Just rinse and repeat and also grab the ladders.

Started with three stone foundations then used concrete afterwards. I think I made about 8-10 concrete foundations, but did not use them all (as not in Icarus or doing this mission at present) Made at least ten ladders.
