I would have tried, it is written that it attracts beasts, ok, so I try in easy mode result; 6 gray wolves + 1 black destroy the machine in 20 seconds, barely enough time to kill 4.
In short, waste of resources I will not try again. The game should explain that the machine must be protected at least a little bit, we are not supposed to know that, another poorly done thing.

so I went to watch some videos on the subject, and when I see what it costs for the ridiculousness that it brings, and the guys disgusted to see the small stone that is only used to make statues lol. In short, no, out of the question that I waste my time and resources on this.

ya its pretty buggy and definitely not worth the effort especially since exotics really arnt worth anything unless ur doing workshop stuff but 90% of the workshop stuff is worthless anyway

and then no difference in attack power whether you are 3 in multiplayer in hard mode or alone in easy mode it's the same, there they could have at least settled that in a more equitable way

Wiki said there is a difference - you get additional beasts in multiplayer, though I don't know if it increases simultaneous number or just attack duration.

ah... well that's not what I noticed when watching various videos, especially one where there were two guys, in normal mode, and the first wolf attack was exactly the same as mine.

For any of those types of tasks or quests, I usually build a stone frame around the device so that animals can't get to it easily, and then attack them while they're busy trying to destroy the wall.

I never actually got to test it, but surrounding it with a barrier and also hedgehog type defenses seems obvious, once you understand that 'attracts animals' means a horde defense event.

Nothing's ever explained enough, for sure. You should learn this lesson from missions - Headstone, I believe, would be the most clear early teacher on the subject. (It's also not much fun IMO.)

Open world is not Icarus' primary mode.
