walked through the dense areas, open areas, near water areas, not one carrot. I've finished everything else on this mission. getting the 350 cooked meats and 800 fur from arctic wolves were easy compared to finding carrots. is it possible that the carrrots are not spawning?
I did the killing animals part for 2 hours from 14:24 to 14:22. Then from 14:22 I'm looking for carrots till now it's 14:18 and I can't find one.
I don't think it's spawning. I opened the carrot map file and zoomed in on the dots and go to those locations on the map and the carrots are not there.
I've also restarted the game multiple times in the last few hours.
I've checked and rechecked, and the carrots are not there. What a shame I spent 6 hours on this mission.
What if I go do a different mission and come back to this one later? Will this world gets deleted once I start a new mission, or do an open world for a while? I really think this world has a bug with the carrot spawn.
I think they need some improvement to the placement algorithm - easier to spot in low or no grass.
For mission maps you have to ride your drop ship back to orbit and it will close off the map. For open world you have to manually delete it or overwrite the name you gave it with a new map.
So if you decide to just log out and do a different mission your Supply Stockpile mission will remain and you can return to it at anytime by using LOAD from the menu.
For your carrot issue one thing you might try to help you out is to turn down the graphic settings for all the grass and ground cover down or even off temporarily. It'll remove the random non-interactable grass and leave only the fiber, fruits, and vegetables you can interact with clearly visible. That way the carrots will visibly pop out to you easier.
Sorry, I had to... T_T
