I can't find carrots
Doing the Supply Stockpile Mission and I have everything but can't find Carrots.
Had 100 hours in the Open World and prolly found less than 20 carrots during that time.

I looked it up and they should spawn in riverlands and forest, and I've been looking there.

Any tips?

yeah I've looked at that map, walked through the maps for 2-3 hours, walking not even running. can't find one carrot.

walked through the dense areas, open areas, near water areas, not one carrot. I've finished everything else on this mission. getting the 350 cooked meats and 800 fur from arctic wolves were easy compared to finding carrots. is it possible that the carrrots are not spawning?

I did the killing animals part for 2 hours from 14:24 to 14:22. Then from 14:22 I'm looking for carrots till now it's 14:18 and I can't find one.

Personally, I always used the map when I couldn't find what I needed and it was always there. You, like me, don't use mods, so it's hard to say anything else.

I'll try to zoom in on the map and really use it. Thanks for helping me with the crashes. So far so good.

I don't think it's spawning. I opened the carrot map file and zoomed in on the dots and go to those locations on the map and the carrots are not there.

I've also restarted the game multiple times in the last few hours.

I've checked and rechecked, and the carrots are not there. What a shame I spent 6 hours on this mission.

If you are getting really desperate and have enough Ren: buy carrot seeds from workshop and bring them down using orbital exchange interface, make few crop plots and plant the seeds.

Thanks, that would work.

What if I go do a different mission and come back to this one later? Will this world gets deleted once I start a new mission, or do an open world for a while? I really think this world has a bug with the carrot spawn.

Where there is the M12 cave, you can see three dirt patches on the map, I found my first carrots around there. The lower one had the most. Along the edges in the grass walking back down towards the lake there should be plenty

Carrot sprouts are generally hard to spot. It's a small green sprig, mixed in with other, larger greenery. They are a slightly brighter shade of green than regular bushes, so you can sort of tune your eyes for that - at the right time of day.

I think they need some improvement to the placement algorithm - easier to spot in low or no grass.

Your mission maps and open world maps are all separate and will remain forever accessible until you do specific things.

For mission maps you have to ride your drop ship back to orbit and it will close off the map. For open world you have to manually delete it or overwrite the name you gave it with a new map.

So if you decide to just log out and do a different mission your Supply Stockpile mission will remain and you can return to it at anytime by using LOAD from the menu.

For your carrot issue one thing you might try to help you out is to turn down the graphic settings for all the grass and ground cover down or even off temporarily. It'll remove the random non-interactable grass and leave only the fiber, fruits, and vegetables you can interact with clearly visible. That way the carrots will visibly pop out to you easier.

Have you tried eating more carrots? I hear that improves the ability to spot things!

Sorry, I had to... T_T
