Power generation

So I just started survival 2 days ago and final got to tier 4. Problem I am having is getting power. Everything that generates power is crafted at the fabricator. The fabricator requires power to work. How do I get power to create the things that generate power?

the fabricator does NOT need power, though optically it looks like that with its lamps and so on. At least in my single player game it works without power.

need to turn it still on even tho it is not connected to actual power, hold f to turn fabricator on to craft all u need

As others have said, the fabricator that crafts tier 4 items needs no power.

Other items like the _foundry_ for making tier 4 weapons does need power though. But the foundry is just a hi tech version of the forge.
