Try this :
Start a new open world, land, do something on this world (build a hut), go back to space, see if you can get back to the same place where you built the hut. If it's there it will work.
Send a message if you need anything else.
Type in the word "How"...
... in the forum "Search this topic" field.
Typing in "Envirosuit" is better :)
I found satisfactory answers...
There are many topics in the forum database that have been covered.
"Refresh" the "Disscusions" page by left clicking on the "Discussions" tab...
Type in "Deep Mining" in the search field...
If I were the programmer...
I would put in a routine to "refresh" the page before the search begins...
Maybe they will fix it...
Got my new upgraded suit and returned to the same outpost I had created. The world is here, but there is nothing in it. No mounts, no bases... nothing. DOH!!!
So i guess I will buy the new frontiers expansion and start over. Still level 32 tho. Ahhh well.
If you want, I wanted to start a new open world with other players, I've got a dedicated server set up, you interested ? You can drop in and drop out how much you like with dedicated server. This applies to anyone else who reads this and wants to join
Also got the new frontires expansion so save your money. I can start a new world whenever you want.
If, instead, you select NEW WORLD, and enter it one time, THAT NEW WORLD will become the de facto "LOAD" world and the previous one, will forever be gone :)
Lesson learned, onward to new frontiers
Regardless, your auto-saves on your original map should still be there. If you want to switch back to that prospect first leave your new one with your new gear - this prevents your Loadout file from saying "Hey this stuff is on Map X" and your old Map X saying, "Nope, never seen that stuff." Which confuses the game a bit.
Then head to your prospect folder:
C:\Users\[WIndowsUserName]\AppData\Local\Icarus\Saved\PlayerData\[SteamID#]\Prospects
In there you'll see your Open World map's name with a .json extension. That is the current file - MOVE it to a different folder out of the way. You'll also see up to 10 auto-save backups 30 minutes apart. Pick the one with the time before you left the old prospect, COPY it to the same place you put the other file just in case and remove the .backup_# from the file name in the prospect folder.
That should fix you up. Now you can LOAD the old prospect map and then you can leave and return with the collected gear without issue.
Ahhh well. at Level 31 with nothing on me it hasn't taken too long to get back to ALMOST where I was. ;) I have completely quit playing 7 Days to Die in favor of this game lol
You didn't lose your world man. There are 10 autosave files in your Prospect folder. Follow the directions of the guy above you (Rekal) and he explains how you can get your world back in about 5 minutes.
