You can invite up to 7 friends to play, or jump into a game with a public host. Once the host has left the game, the person with the determined next-best connection will become the new host.
So player hosted sessions, not servers.
"once your are in a drop, you can host the session if migrated to you
So if the true host is offline. You can still go in and play, and you are the host" - Rocket
i have read it Lol still doesn't solve the problem i was talking about what that info does bring up is another problem in itself if they shutdown their servers your SOL with anything useless game you can't play in your library this is why all games should be private/local servers so when they do shutdown (not if WHEN they do cause they will sooner or later) you can just host your own server for when you and your friends want to play
