Portable Biofuel Tank (How to use it once it's full)

So I've crafted it and filled it up, but I can't place it in a generator slot or and use it for anything, can't fill a biofuel can with it.... what am I doing wrong?

You can put this thing in the Generator but not in the generator Slot, above in the Inventory slot - equal to a Drill :)

Hmm yeah about all I can do is right click it in an inventory and 'consume'. (Un?)fortunately, it didn't do anything in particular. I was at least hoping for something like Ark eating the bio poly. oh well
from my fiddling you can't fill a can like you would interact with the water trough either (put in bar and make active kind of thing). not sure what 'fuel network', is but it seems to want one.

My wife and I got ours working. We put a half full Tank in our biofuel deep ore miner in the top slot where the ore accumulates. It wont go where the can goes, put a full fuel can in as normal. It seems to fill the can as it slowly runs out.

We've never been able to get multiple cans working in the Generators.

Ok so based on a Reddit post I found, it looks like if you put a can in the fuel slot on generator, then remove it or it runs out, it then starts pulling from the extra slots now, HOWEVER, this doesn't persist past a reload of the server unless there's actual fuel in the fuel slot. (also can't start it without that)
on another note, the flavor text is a lie! I shot it with normal ammo, fire ammo, explody ammo... no 80's movie explosions for you.

We've tried that with fuel cans in the Genny, it seems to run for about a minute before stopping even with the top slots containing all full cans.

I have tried to connect fuel tank to a biofuel device but it doesn't work. the only thing I can do is to fill the fuel tank and nothing less.

My wife always got upset with me when I did stupid things in WoW..like jumping off the highest cliffs possible and casting levitate at the last minute.

I'll let you know how it goes.


update :

well it does crap..5 incendiary rounds into a full tank just destroys it with no explosion.

Even a puff of smoke would have been nice....

worse still, my wife was hoping I get blown up into the sky.

Shooting at the bio-fuel tank, just destroys the tank...no explosion :(

Put it down to just another bug. Like the one I'm experiencing with the MXC Hydrazine Container. I looked them up, and it says to refill them in the Composter, but even though I have the required items to make the fuel, nothing happens. The electric composter just stays idle. If I put my biofuel lamp, or a biofuel tank in the composter, it starts up and fills them, but ignores the MXC container.
