Lets talk about food.

so the food timers are too low imho,

i would ratehr the food cost more to make and last twice or 3x as long before they spoil.
at a point where i make a batch of food and i return from farming to the food made but 5to10 of them have spoiled.

Not talking about fridges and freezers.

I have to echo what everyone else is saying. Salt the food to preserve it. 1 Salt per food item makes it trivial to extend the life of food.

I was think maybe an Esky (aka Cooler for the Non-Aussies / Kiwis). Similar to the Ice Box. But for travel with maybe 4 slots and uses ice.

We have a Thermos for liquid.

I know we have a salting station, but for those long arduous picnics in the desert, an esky to keep your beer nice a cool would be great.

like people have said, some foods arent meant to be carried around

Smoked meat lasts quite long too, good for carrying around on expeditions. 1.7 hours without skills, 2.5 hours with. Bring 2 of each of 4 different types and you're set for up to 5 hours of running around, not counting what you eat as you leave. 5 hours takes you one or two laps around the map easily

And i can't stress this enough, deep freezers is your friend in base. I have 6 of them filled to the brim with raw foods and cooked meals. If i go on a longer expedition, i always bring enough building materials to build a small shed, and a freezer plus 2 windmills to power it. perfect for longer expeditions
