0.1) The first standard recommendation: verify the game on Steam.
0.2) If you have previously used or are using mods, then in such cases they suggest: uninstall Icarus on Steam; delete the directory in which the game was installed, making sure that there are no extraneous files left in it; reinstall Icarus via Steam.
[Reason]: During verification, the Steam client does not check for the presence of remaining extraneous files (mods, mods folder or other files that are no longer needed), which can lead to problems of this kind. They can provoke Unreal crash.
0.3) Disable Steam Overlay as well as any other overlay.
1) A screenshot or text of the error is required (2-3 different crash).
1.1) Detailed description of the pattern of error occurrence, sequence of actions, etc.
1.2) Your PC Config? OS(subversion); all graphic settings? Resolution?
2) DX11 + Fullscreen
2.1) For starters, I recommend setting the OS swap file size to FIXED SIZE 32 GB (this means that when setting ‘Custom Size’ -> ‘Initial Size’ and ‘Maximum size’ must be same -> 32768). The paging file must be on the SSD (system partition C:). It is advisable to have at least 32 GB of physical RAM.
Here, the problems will not be in Icarus, but in Unreal 4, on which the game is built, the thing is that this game engine loves a lot of RAM and, oddly enough, large swap files.
If you are playing on DX12 and you are starting to crash or have another problem, then be sure to put a 32GB swap file. Or try switching to DX11 (considerably less memory consumption).
