Does stone structures still get on fire?

Hello. It happened again, for some reason I don't know my wood base was on fire, almost lost everything. If I update it to stone will it still catch on fire?

Yes and no. Stone walls/ceilings will not catch on fire but if you use log reinforcements then those can catch and the fire will run along those. furthermore if you use the logs for foundation reinforcements, it is possible that the fire will catch those also. What I do for foundations is put the stone blocks around the base of the house to help. If the wood supports catch fire, the only way to stop the spread is to use your axe and chop them out.

This might not help but you can make a lightning rod to protect your base from strikes until you upgrade to stone.

If you don't have the lightning rod unlocked then just vertically stack a few wooden beams a safe distance from your buildings and so long as it's the tallest structure then lightning should hit that setting it on fire instead so saving your base.
