Prometheus - Where is the platinum?

I can't advance tiers without getting some platinum, but I've not seen any, anywhere. I'm currently based right near the 4-way intersection of F4-F5/G4-G5. I've been all over the forest and found none, so I assume I need to visit one of the other biomes to locate it? Videos I've seen on YouTube are out of date (at least the ones I've seen) and so I'm here looking for up-to-date info. Thanks for any suggestions!

Does your prospector have the "specialized" workshop scanner...?

try the 2 caves in J7 or the ones just going into the swamp there. I had better luck finding a deep mine and putting a drill on there at least in STYX

I use the large cave at i4, there is a lot of platinum there and with the infectious pickaxe I mine crust, each crust brings 5 platinum. I built a hut in the cave and set up cupboards so I can always empty the cave with the infectious pickaxe and then fill it up again with the thumper. So you always have enough platinum and titanium for all needs

Yes, Prairie biome does not have platinum and titanium voxels to mine by hand. It does have deep ore deposits though. Head into the cold to your north and you'll find some.

Platine Ore can find in the Arctic Caves or with the Workshop Scanner as a deep vein
