Bug: Mission Pods Not Dropping (Open World)

I am playing missions on an Olympus open world map, and the retrieval pods for missions have stopped dropping. Missions like Mining and Farming no longer give me any place to put the gathered materials. Does anyone have a solution to this issue?

I have tried shutting down the game while the mission was ongoing and resuming the game, hoping a pod would appear, but no luck.

I have tried abandoning missions and waiting for new ones. Problem persists.

Please describe in detail: the exact names of Mission or Operation. If you go through them in Openworld, then this is Operation.

What do you mean by this? Please take a full screen screenshot of this.
Or do you mean that the pod does not fly to pick up materials at certain points when you perform an Operation in Openworld?

2) Have you used mods before?

Please disregard. It took a few times, but after the third shutdown and boot up, the missions were working normally again.

1) As stated, I am taking about open world missions such as "Mining" and "Farming", not Operations. (Notably, missions without any retrieval pods, such as "Hidden Cache" had no issues.)

2) I have not used any mods in Icarus.

I haven't tried the mining and farming missions, but I've had similar issues with other missions. I've been able to resolve by sometimes just exiting to character select, and sometimes exiting to desktop and reloading. Good luck!

Issue is still occurring as of March 2024, has to abandon a mission for lack of a retrieval pod showing up to deposit materials into, and the next mission I took has the same issue.

Closing and reopening the game has not fixed the issue for me...

I hope someone with the ability to help can do so.

As a few restarts fixed it for the OP that might be required.

Other things you could try are to use and Orbital Exchange Interface to call down a drop pod and send it back. I believe these are also tied to the mission pods as in you can't have more than one at a time on the ground so an OEI pod could force things to reset.

You could also use your drop ship to return to orbit and using LOAD to drop again as another form of hard resetting.

And finally, I don't know where you are on the map and how extensive of a base you've made but it could be the drop pods having trouble finding a landing spot? Perhaps picking up the CONT4CT Device and moving it to the edge of your base area or away from map border walls might help.

Just speculation on some things to try as I've never experienced it.

Had this problem a few times, no capsule came for collection. But I was always able to cancel the mission and make a new one....

broke for me too. OLYMPUS - OPEN WORLD shows an empty box under the yellow header. Pod doesnt come down

@Karl - leave all your equipment in a cabinet and you can leave and come back. everything will still be there in Open World. you can also use the Orbital Exchange and bring stuff down from the Workshop.

so i picked up the contact device and placed it back down. it fixed the mission issue and pod comes down now. i also called the orbital pod down, so one or the other fixed it

Hello, I have the same problem when playing open world. some missions doesn't let me finish coz the pod doesn't appear to bring some materials. There are another ones that the radar cannot put in the place coz doesn't appear the red radar shadow to apply the radar mission. so frustrating i have to comeback to operations and select the mission. (there is no problem to accomplish the mission)

Same thing just happened to me when I resumed my game.
Mining mission drop pod is not at it's location as it once was.

still have the same problem atm i think a button that request resend the pod would fix it better?

@[DEVELOPERS] this problem still persist , just today i`ve quit those quest 4 times in a row after 10 min of waiting and no landing pods ... Please address old bug`s before releasing new patch
