Open world and a new suit

Me and 2 friends have an open world game going. We sent some exotics back and did some missions. We bought new exo suits but we cant figure out how to use them without restarting our world. THey wont come down in a pod, we crafted them but cant figure out how to equip them for use with our current world.

An open world does not go away just because you return to the station to equip a new suit. Use your dropship and come back with a shiny new suit.

You have to go back to orbit and choose the suit in the loadout screen when you re-enter your open world game. It saves all progress on your open world.

There's no way to change suits in open world, that's why it won't let you order it.

Don't bring any non-workshop stuff back up to orbit. The game will automatically delete it. Leave all non-workshop stuff in a container in your open world. If you don't want to jog to the pod practically naked, you can build a small hut near where the drop pods come down. Go there, store the stuff, then make the short jog to the pod.
