I fight for some minutes, it run back to den and summon more again. This happen twice.
There is no way to quickly regen my health
Worst, he inflict very damaging bleed. If I spent my time to bandage, then I don't have time to attack. (Using bandage take nearly 5 second)
My resource out and I have to retry again . Its already regen back to full hp.
If this is so easy thing to be done by T1 tech.
Can someone create a fresh new hero choose this mission and upload a video?
I believe he only comes out at night, during the day build a pillar attack 3 platforms so you are off the ground.. then just wait till night time and kill him. The animals in the game are very very dumb they will go directly under you.. as long as there is no way to actually get to you they will sit below you and you can just kill them with a bow.
this game is ALL about cheesing the enemies.. bears you can joust, just run towards them then glance them as you run past, turn and shoot and then just do that over and over, wolves, komodos, scorpions and most other animals you can't do this with but if you can put a platform on a cliff or whatever then do it, just get off the ground.
It's just part of learning the game. I'm sure you can definitely find videos of this.

Now it is forever roaming in that area no matter day or night.
Huh, so I should stand on indestructible rock and shoot it until dead ?
I hope there is no balancing issue in this game.
For such entry level quest, it is strangely overwhelmingly difficult and maybe cheesing is necessity part of this game?
I can't even imagine how much spear and Bow I need to craft just to avoid repair it during mid combat.
As the mature wolf has skill to regen health and summon more wolf which will again....... much more consuming for wooden weapon to take down
If there is a video is about how he did it before level 5 with wooden tier gear and no armor.
I will much more appreciate
FInally got 2 videos quite believable . Although the hero start with around lv 20.
But at least the player show the full run of mission, using only bone wood stone gear to beat it.
Look like the only way to fight is either setup fire trap, or stand on unreachable area and shoot it until dead.
Quite chessy, but consider the fight is unfair against player for a T1 tech mission.
I see no other choice. Guess maybe this is what the game developer want to teach the player the right way to play it
Though I haven't tried it myself, I bet this mission is much easier and still falls in to T1 tech, if you touch down with workshop armour and the end/late game Workshop bow and arrows.
But for new players/characters doing challenge runs, I would recommended at lest T2 metal tools for that mission. if you don't want to cheese too much.
Seems like the game is not beginner friendly at all.
Is always I saw "gain level build stronger stuff" instead of real skill play.
Even at the very 1st landing, have to do unlock the right tech and weapon just to able to sustain o2
Let this be lesson, that the tech requirements in the mission menu are more to tell what Tech that you will ('might') need to complete a mission:
T1: 'Nothing'
T2: A base, maybe some metal working/steel making
T3: Cement, electronics, or bio fuel
T4: Electricity, water, or Composites
As that's why they made them, a fair few complaints about reaching an objective, only to find out you need a generator to power up something. Not "hey you should be X level."
Although most missions require building a platform and killing wolf the actual answer I figured out is simple, use engineering. The wolf pack come out of their holes at night, so just cut some trees and stack the wood pile by the hole and block it. Alpha wolf will poke his head out - stab him, no hurry.
