Tamed animal
So, is there a way to have animals to have them protect themselfs? tried both passive and the other option(dont remmber what it was atm), but they just stay still and just looks on the animal attacking.
This is a litle annoying when going into caves for the ores there and having to build them inside a enclosure for some small protection.
My way is just to build 4 fortification walls with spikes to them and just place them inside there

Unless something broke, the horses fight back if set on defensive stance, and i could have sworn ive seen the buffalo fight back too. Moas do not.

I think terranus (the horse/boar) and the new tuskers are the only things that will fight back. Everything else tries to run away, or stands there and dies.
Purely theoretically, of course, it is better to protect your animals. You can build a box of stone walls around them; it will not be easy to break it quickly and, in addition, it will be audible.
You can also bring mounts into the cave and order them to wait. If it does not stand next to the entrance, then wild animals will not attack him, because they do not enter the cave on their own.
