anything better than canteen?

about the canteen (T3 tech)
just want to know if there's something that can carry more water than canteen?
i fill the canteen with water to use it in a crafting station (some recipe need water)
and the canteen run out of water pretty fast

want to know if there's anything that can store more water than that
(i know we can plug the water pump/pipe directly into the station but my tech/level is not high enough yet)

You could craft more of them. If you find and exploit an iron deep deposit then you won't run out of steel to craft them.

Yeah if the bench needs water then you have to craft a pump, you can fast fill the canteen at your water collector by putting it on the hotbar and selecting it it instantly fills when you hit the button at the water collector.

You can use watering cans for crafting, they hold the same amount of water (5L) but are very cheap to make (5 iron ingots, 4 leather, 2 nails) so you can easily craft a few of them.

Canteen at 5 liters is the best you can craft. I think the workshop canteen is 6.5 but that's it.

Check out the rain reservoir if the issue is running back and forth between your water source. It can store 100 liters and collects rain if you leave it outside - it fills during rain storms. Put your canteen on the hotbar and it fills or empties instantly. You can store 5 containers inside where they'll get filled up. You can also craft a shovel and head to the snow biome to collect ice. You put that ice in the reservoir and it converts it to water until it's full.

I keep a rain resevoir next to my base.. and then I just have 2 watering cans I just keep in my bench.

Or I will take off my workshop canteen mass produce the food I want and then just put it back on.

technically, the thermos. to answer your question. tho, it is not much of a difference. the workshop canteens is where you start to get some added stats. (you can do coffee, tea, etc.. but they are not permanant. and they cann only be made with the thermos)

i do wish someday they add some more to the ingame craftables with oxygen and water. possibly change envirosuits. to not be forced to use workshop items would be nice.
