Report a translation problem
Look on the left hand side you'll see the funnel shaped icon for the filters. You can turn off all the annotations there. No way to annotate yourself though.

Same thing, you can hide the markings on the left side. It even lets you annotate if you create an account and pay. /shrug Up in the top right it does let you go full screen with the map - you can then press the PRINT SCRN button and then paste the map into a image editor and annotate things that way. Of course you can do the same from in the game as well - snap a screenshot and edit from there.

It's strange that the Icarus fandom page has two different map pages and this one with the grids seems to be discolored for some reason. You could try color correcting it.
Or you can use the "poor mans version" and plop down a scarecrow. It'll add a marker on your map as well (but you can't name it yourself). I think you might also have to fuel it for the marker to be there though. Not certain of that.
