I think I am very new to this type of genre. I thought this is a survival simulation game. But I saw I can travel back to the station for some benefits (?) also I am not quite sure if I understood the principal.
Oh could it be because I choose the far right options with almost no enemies and less xp?
You have a safe zone and unlimited resources. It's not the main game really.
The main game is "missions".
Alternatively, they introduced "open world" 1 year ago, but that mode is also not the mode the game was initially designed for. Open world means, you have the normal map, can do _some_ of the mission from there and you can build everything until you get bored.
If you want to play it the original way, play missions. These are where you drop, have nothing, need to accoplish some objectives and the return to the space station.
You make money, can unlock space-station gear and take it with you into the next mission.
After having played a lot of all 3 modes, I realized this is the way the game is meant to be played.
alright thanks for the explanation, does open world include all the areas like snow lava etc basically those 5 areas i had when testing the game (far left option), now on far right option it does get boring ngl. But still very relaxing
Yes, in open world you have:
On Olympus map and Styx map (1st DLC) you have forest, snow/deep arctic, desert and riverlands.
Prometheus, the 2nd DLC is completey different. With lava, basalt, swamp.
Also, Prometheus has the most missions integrated into open world mode. You build a communication relay and then can request the missions from that relay while being in the same world all the time, never returning to orbit.
You can also build that communication device on Olympus and Styx but it has fewer missions integrated into the mode.
Here is a map of the Prometheus biomes. BUT: It's also the hardest map and you die a lot at the start :D

Potential places deep mine; exotic deposit; caves indicating through passages under the mountains (if any) for all maps.

One of these pictures will be labeled something like this (Creature spawn zones with levels and ratios.)
On it you can see approximately where some animals spawn and at what level they will be. It also doesn’t hurt to determine where you shouldn’t go at early levels.
PS In Prometheus, play all missions through Openworld as Operation and only this way (this is advice for you). And before playing Operations on Prometheus, upgrade to Full Tier 4.
