Trouble Connecting to Dedicated Server

Hey Guys,

I rented a dedicated server from 1GServerhost. It's up and running, but when I try and connect I get an error on steam that says "unable to connect to server, app id specified by server is invalid."

The server does appear in the steam server browser but when I click it nothing happens. I rebooted the server and still nothing.

Any idea what this error means or what I should try? I sent a support ticket but It's a holiday so I'm not getting a quick response.
