Icarus - Pre-Hypatia Branch

This week we will be releasing Hypatia - Styx Operations

Due to the conversion process of some missions to operations some existing prospect saves on missions for Olympus & Styx may not be able to be completed in their old state.

So we have provided a branch on steam that will keep the current build on before this weeks patch so you can complete your missions before switching over.

Icarus(pre-hypatia)

We suggest you swap to now if you do not want to be interrupted when the patch goes out this week on Friday NZT.

This way when you have finished up your existing mission you can swap back to the default branch to get the update.

How To Switch Branches

1. Right clicking on Icarus in Steam
   
2. Selecting Properties, this will open a window
   
3. Select Beta's
   
4. Use the drop down box to select the branch you want - in this case it is pre-hypatia

If the branch does not appear you may need to restart steam.

Styx

For those of you who don’t have Styx, you can get this on Steam and check out the new map, creatures and missions in advance of this update if you want to get familiar with the new landscape.

What scenario are you suggesting people use the pre-hypatia branch for? Is it *only* if you have an open mission on Styx and need to complete it? No other scenarios?

In 80% of cases it will just work fine, but due to most of the Styx Missions & Many Olympus missions being adjusted and cleaned up and converted into operations there is a chance that some quests have changed and may have blocked progress in some cases.

Was the information also passed on to server providers? I just checked with g-portal and they currently only have the branches 'Public' & 'Experimental' selectable.

Wasn't it 11.99 last week. You went up in price with all the issues in Styx map. Falling thru mountains. Landscape mesh issues everywhere.

I got it free in 2021 but $15 for this RUSHED BROKEN map is another cash grab.

It's been 14.99, but they had a sale going, to celebrate the launch of New Frontiers.

What can we do if after selecting "pre-hypatia" we still can't open the mission? ( we press RESUME PROSPECT on LOAD PAGE and nothing happened)

No map markers are showing up on any mission I choose, Advance orders , voyager recovery, unearthed Hence The game is unplayable ATM I been trying for the last 4 hrs to get a mission to work that shows the way points were supposed to head to for mission progression ? Please fix. I've verified files etc etc Been on forums looking for a fix but nothing this is my last option Hopefully a Dev will see this.

Same...in two missions in a row now, I have no drop pod markers on the map. The hunting one I was able to work around because I happened to know where they were supposed to be and went to those locations.
On stockpiling mining (forget the name) I don't know where it's supposed to be. Internet shows a location but when I go there no pod drops. This is game-breaking IMO. Is there no concern now for missions? Has everything gone to open world & ops? Please fix this.

any reason my entire base has disappeared and all my stuff is floating in the air.. I just spent 3 days building and gathering stuff to harvest exotics and now all my stuff is getting demolished by the weather because all my walls and floors are gone. It all started by me not bieng able to add pieces to existing pieces on my base and if i tore down a wall i was unable to replace it.. i logged out and back in to see if it would fix it and BAM my entire base was gone.
