when you kill an animal, it will tell you your progress on that entry in the same place it tells you how much xp you earned - top left corner.

it takes hundreds of kills to make progress..

for example you need to 800 points for bear. you get 1 point for killing, 1 for skinning, if you skin with trothey knife you get 2 points, and if you make trothey you get 2 more points, so from 1 bear you can get 5 points

This should be retroactive for existing players. I have 270 hours into this and have little interest I taking out thousands of critters all over again.

This disappoints me too a bit. I will understand that it needs more from like 70% to 100 but wtf if you play singleplayer I dont want to farm just over 1000 animals.

I'm just glad I'm not itching for fishing or the Bestarium at all. Looked once how long it takes me to get 10% with the wolves. There were hundreds of wolves and dozens of trophies and then there was only a short description of a wolf for it, haha, complete success. But with the polar bears 15 are enough and each time a trophy made. Now I know that a polar bear is a polar bear, great
