Question regarding sandbox/outpost mode

So far I've only played missions / open world modes - with that said I loaded into outposts and my thinking was that it was a sandbox mode where I could just build without needing resources so I could just be creative with a build. Is that not an option in Icarus yet?

Outpost is as close as you come to "creative" mode. You have a very small map, but all the resources regenerate. You also have a massive xp penalty (something like only 25% what you get in missions and open world).

If you mean a pure creative mode, where you don't need resources, no, it doesn't have that.
