What Missions To Unlock Exotics?
I've already completed Deep Vein:Extraction and Remnant:Extraction missions.

Do I need to complete anymore missions in order to mine Exotics from any random mission? In other words, If I want to go into an Exploration Mission can I mine Exotics with completing these two missions, or is there another mission I need to complete first?

This is no longer correct. It changed when Styx was released, but I'm not sure it was ever in the patch notes. I only know because one of the Devs posted here about it (if I can still find the link, I'll post here again).

You don't need to complete ANY mission to mine exotics from the veins anymore. Payday, however, is a "training" mission on how to scan and mine the ores. But all you need now is the tech to make the following items:

- OEI (Orbital Exchange Interface) in T2. You need this to send the exotics into orbit and get "paid".
- radar in either T3 (biofuel) or T4 (electric). You need this to locate the nodes (although you can just pull up a spoiler site with a map showing all possible locations, and check each one until you find them all... but very time consuming....)
- extractor in either T3 (biofuel) or T4 (electric). This is the device that actually mines the ores out for you.

Payday now also unlocks the ability to purchase the workshop radar and extractor.

EDIT:
Link to thread where Dev posted. Scroll to the very bottom. That's where I got this info:

Sweet. So, as long as I have the radar and extractor unlocked I can do one of the 30 day missions and find them on the map? That's cool. Thanks

Yes, or any other mission. MOST missions have exotics. It looks like the Devs went through and made sure every mission has at least one node (although those earlier in the mission tree won't have as many exotics/node as those later in the tree). Even the very first mission on Olympus (the training mission) has a node.

However... the "big shot" mission, where you are in a shooting range/training range, does NOT have exotics (and with a 2 hour limit, you'd be hard pressed to get them, too).

Just remember you MUST use the Orbital Exchange Interface to send your exotics back. Taking them back on your person or in your drop ship will no longer give credit.

As I made the Deep Vein:Extraction mission, in the Arctic zone, I discovered "surface exotic nodes", mineable with a pickaxe. Do you know if those nodes will be there in other missions ?

Once you completed that mission, it's possible to find those in caves. But they are very rare, and only give about 15-16 exotics.

Mining the veins is the way to get lots of exotics.

Oh, okay, thanks Pach. I was contemplating going to the arctic zone to get those "surface nodes". But, no, if it's very unlikely to spawn those nodes.

You can find them in any cave, in any biome, not just arctic. They are just really rare (nice when you do find one, though).

They won't be on the surface like they were on the mission.

Repeating the mission can be a quick way to get more exotics, though.
