Game is STILL broken

You can still change the profile.json file in appdata/local to have however much currency you want, making grinding for exotics completely useless. It's been a problem ever since your big patch and making stuff local. Please fix this! I have so many people that refuse to play this until it's fixed.

If you decide to cheat, thats your probleme. its just like driving. You can drive at 200km/h but you are not allowed.

You can easily download CE and change the value of anything in any game that's not persistently online and some that are like Elden RIng.

Spoiler alert. Cheaters are going to cheat. If you don't want to play with cheaters, don't play with cheaters. There's plenty of people out there who are more interested in the journey than the destination.

And to be fair, if someone needs to cheat to enjoy the game more, then that's their decision. It does't impact me in any way in what's essentially single player/private multiplayer game.

But it's too easy to do so, there's literally NOTHING to try and prevent it. That's the problem. That's like leaving your housedoor completely open and saying crooks are gonna steal, then telling everyone it's open.

But I bought the game and I decide how to play it. I am not restricting any other player's ability or right to play. I do what I want locally on my computer. So why should I be restricted? I want to play differently than everyone else. That's about it, I buy a car, it's my property. I want to change the original radio to another one, but the manufacturer says that it is not possible? Would you like it? Who wants to play without cheats, who wants to play with. What a part! I Space Engineer and others build such ships, huge with as many bays as the computer resource allows. If I played fair, I would never build them. Everyone has their own approach! Why deny it?

Why do you care? Worried about cheaters in a single player / co-op game...?

How others chose to spent their time shouldnt be our concern unless its hurting us. People wanting to get max lvl chars... exotics ect... from changing files instead of running for 1k hours real time shouldnt bother you.

If you want to grind... do so. If you want to save time... do so. Just dont harm or affect others negatively.

If you lost your character and want to alter files to get it back... its your call.

Being able to alter files will help many solo players and modders. Bringing more life to the game.

More options are never bad. If you dont like it... dont do it. Play how you like.

More free will and choice less restriction please.

Thanks devs for making files local and giving us choice.

So you find a hack, then come to the forum to complain they did not fix it? How exactly is something you CHOOSE to do effecting the overall game play? Your choices are not the devs issues but your own. Clearly you were looking for such hacks. Traditional MP games you would get global ban just for discussing that here. LMAO.

But it is your choice to leave that door open. If you see your neighbor with the door open say something but if they choose to ignore you and leave it open then it is no longer of your concern. Stop policing people. There are cheat engines that make it even more rewarding then you simple little hack. LMAO.

I doubt this is going to be "fixed", as a large portion of the decision to move to local files was specifically to give people the power to play how they want.

This isn't a PvP game, with online rankings where they have to monitor cheats closely.

This is PvE game, and the only rankings you have to worry about are your own achievements.

If my buddies that I play with want to hack into their files millions of exotics and ren, I'm not going to have any issues with that. There are plenty of people who have farmed tons of exotics and have all the workshop items. You still only have so many per drop.

I ran into a few game glitches.
The dev's showed me how to change things.
I JUST WANTED MY CHARACTER AND ALL THINGS BUILT IN MY CAMP BACK!
It did not work as offered.
Because they did not teach me/ explain in detail. also(im sloo)
I came back here for help...
I kept trying to get it all back...
I just wanted to go back to playing!!!
After about 20 attempts, i tink. {30hrs}
I achieved a compromise.
Got 75ish-85ish overall back.
Started playing again. THANK GOD...
I'm happy with what I have achieved.
I don't need to BECOME GOD! *****By doing what you said*****
