Back then before the break i also had 3080 with ddr4 and 11th gen cpu, was bad :D couldnt max everything and constant framedrops
Lol how... im running a 4090 with 12th gen cpu and DDR4 and Im sitting at half those frames... my CPU memory and GPU are not even using half their power
CPU (5800X) barely reaches 20%, GPU (1080) doesn't seem to hit 100% much either, but the game always goes from using 4GB ~ 8GB of memory (32GB DDR4) to using 24GB+ after a few hours.
In-game I very frequently go from ~100 fps even in my friend's large base, down to a consistent 11 fps for a few seconds, then back up to 100 fps. It happens even in completely barren areas like the Arctic biomes. Hopefully it's fixed soon.
- Ryzen 5 3600
- RX 6900 XT
- 32 GB Ram
Played 5 hours today, no issues, some hitching aside.
If you're having memory problems or if the game is eating up too much memory, run ISLC and manually set your paging file size.
It seems very varied, but there are still some issues around. Maybe i'll wait for the new performance patch.
I had to upgrade my system in between though(from 3080 to 4080, 5600X to 7800X3D, 32GB to 64 GB RAM), so it might also be related to that :) I don't have any issues with stutters anymore, or lighting causing fps drops.
Playing on the experimental branch, I can confirm some kind of mem leak or something like that, as my performance sometimes also drops noticeably after longer sessions. (from stable 60 to around 45 until I restart).
Whatever you guys did fixed the majority of my stutter and frame drops on experimental. Thanks for that
