can you explain in more detail on what you mean by what you just said?
Thanks.
I will try, I am not really good with explanations, but the game can be played in several ways, there is a unlimited survival mode, outpost mode (easy Unlimited Survival Mode) and Missions- Missions give you the main currency in the game (Credits and Exotic) and is used to buy pre-fabricated equipment before missions and survival mode drops- you can only take these pre-fabricated items with you to and from missions/modes and the reason many people dont like it besides price is because of how it is very difficult and different from most survival games in core aspects
On this note however ill mention the game is very fun to grind missions for the said credits, been looking for friends to play with so I can go into later missions and really have a go at it with a army basically- I can recommend it to you if that sounds fun and if you want a friend to play with I am currently wanting to get back into such game as I am now :D
However, it has come a long way since then, and imo definitely worth it right now. Do check first if your PC can handle the game; since it's quite heavy.
I agree. I enjoyed it from the start but what really hooked me was the Open World update not long ago. I've had a lot of fun playing on a dedicated server with a group of friends.
@Rynastiv Also something that helps me decide whether or not to buy a game is checking the update history to see both the quantity and quality of recent updates. Icarus has a long list of 90 weeks worth of updates. I'd say take a peek and see if the level of support and content speak to you.
I'm honestly going to skip for now. I still need to wait for my paycheck anyway to be honest with you guys hahaha. And also Lies of P coming out next month so i rather buy that.
If i decide to get this game all i want to experience is the normality of a survival game, screw the missions, screw co-op, i just want to play the normal survival mode like ( Valheim ).
I appreciate the replies guys, many thanks!
I'm in the same boat. I do the missions on occasion but I was never crazy about them. The Open World is where I have my fun. That's more the style you are mentioning. Good old fashioned exploring, base building, and progression at your own pace.
I don't know of a way to DM you. Friend me and I'll gift you the base game. If you enjoy it you can get the expansion when you have the money. 🙂 That should help mitigate some of the potential risk. Although I'm confident you'll love it. 😉
I bought the Supporter edition back in the day so I've gotten well over my money's worth. It's a great game, I want to see it flourish, and I want others to experience the fun that I've had. So I don't mind sharing a copy to support them.
That ore thing still happens and can be annoying. I don't see it often though luckily.
The performance can definitely be improved. They pushed a new performance patch the steam experimental branch that may be worth checking out to see if you notice a difference. Maybe provide feedback on your experience.
Open World was a game changer for me and is where I spend most of my time. The timed missions gave me a bit of burn out.
