Ice Storm Expedition mission

So we have all the 3 parts and assembled them all and just need to wait out a storm with the device active.

Being we're limited on time just had a question for those who have completed this mission.

We just have to be in the snow/arctic zone right we don't need to be in any specific place in the arctic so long as it's snow packed and polar bears running around??? Correct????

Time passed, so I don’t remember exactly - but I did it in the Arctic zone right there in the first place that came across.

OK thats what my friend and I were thinking as we first set up near the zone start but moved further in due to some confusion which we resolved but he had to run before we finished so gonna get a stone room set up near the zone start and then will be easier to finish this off in about 15-20 minutes or so providing the scan time isn't too long.

I tunneled a hole into the side of one of the huge boulders, and hollowed out the inside. I waited out the storm inside the rock. Had a whole little camp set up inside, with fire, storage crate, and bedroll.

we tried that but it always said not sheltered so I finally went back and made some stone building parts enough for a 4X4 room with a door and solid walls and will finish off the mission once my friends back in game.

Odd though why a tunneled out rock that had a pretty big tunnel in it would never come up saying we were in cover.

Weird, because I've done this recently (2 days ago), when I though there was a good chance I was going to get jumped by something.

I was mining exotics, and just keeping busy while the drill ran. Was gathering stuff and almost ran into a polar bear. I hollowed out a rock as a bolthole, and just for amusement made a bedroll and campfire and put both down. I was able to set the bedroll as my respawn point, so it had to have counted as covered.

yeah I had my rock cut into quite a ways had a campfire in there and the scanner and it was still saying no shelter which was weird being others had done this as I saw it in a video

I've had something similar happen when the rock wasn't high enough. Which is why I end up making several of these stone-igloos in a group. If one is glitched, I switch to another.
