FIX - LOW FPS, POOR PERFORMANCE RTX 3090 - 5800X3D

I just wanted to share my experience with an issue I had 9/1/23. I was running the latest NVIDIA Graphics Driver at the time of 537.13 8/22/23 release date. Computer has 32GB RAM, AMD 5800X3D and an RTX 3090.

No matter what video settings I tried, I was seeing absolutely horrible FPS and performance of 17-30FPS range. Eventually, I disabled the NVIDIA GeForce Experience "In-Game Overlay" and all the issues went away. I was able to continue using the Steam Overlay without issue to performance.

I hope this helps some people who were struggling with similar issues.

it also helps to right click on the executable, go for properties -> compatibility and deactivate full screen optimization

I had similar problems with almost same system components before updated Nvidia drivers. Good to know it actually might have been the GeForce Experience what coused the problem.

Personally, I always turn off all overlays, they always cause some problems. I have an AMD card, but I still disabled the Steam overlay too.

is there another way to invite your friends to play if the steam overlay is disabled??
