Power and Pump Max Range

Is there a max range for power providers (generators, solar panels, etc.) and water pumps? My pump won't get electricity from my base, and if I power it remotely with a separate panel, my base doesn't get water. It isn't even that far, maybe 100m.

There is no known max distance, I had cables going 3 map tiles. Just.. sometimes when you load that map, some cable nodes disappear, but the cable still works. If you need to attach anything, you would need to remove nodes from the cable - that always makes the next one visible... you'll see once it happens.

We had to re-cable a water pump recently, meaning that we had to lay down another whole line which made it work then, but we did not see a reason why the first line did not work.

Weird. I re-cabled and re-hosed it twice, but couldn't get it to work. I never had a problem pre-expansion.

I have this problem all the time. Only once have I gotten the water pump to work for me.

You can troubleshoot by taking the bio-fuel composter and hooking it up to the nodes along the way. If it lights up that it's got water then you can check closer to the base, if it's not check again closer to the pump.

Find your nodes that don't properly connect and reconnect things. Eyeballing things doesn't always work because sometimes unconnected nodes can overlap or at the very least still look connected.
