Can you prevent snow from accumulating on the roof?

Asking cause It doesn't seem to build up where I have my fireplace so I made an electric heat and nothing, snow still building up everywhere else. Does the heater have a purpose? I mean the character seems fine indoors

You have to use the shovel to remove the snow buildup.

angled roof versus flat should help and not cause collapses....i had flat roof once....once

It likes to break this one spot on my angled roof, I kinda hate how it seeps through the walls where the roof connects

have you tried adding beams at angles along the rooflines? curious

I usually build in the forest cause its scenic., but I am in the snow right now and I highly recommend it for a very new experience, makes me wonder what the swamp, volcanic and desert biomes deal with if you decide to make a base there

deserts you'll be fine with, snow a bit harder but if you can find trees your good.

swamp you'll also be good but be very annoyed with the dive bomber mobs.

i don't see how you can start in the volcanic area, it has no oxi, almost no trees, they give much less wood then trees, alot less fibre.

no real way to build up there.
