DX11 or DX12?
Simply put...11 is High Level API...whereas 12 is a Low Level API...if u know anything about computing, programming, etc...Low is the way to go! BASIC is a High Level Language...farther from the core...ML is THE CORE! Assembly is above that...U WANT Low Level stuff...closer access to the HARDWARE! Less Lag too! So...use 12 if u can! :steamhappy:

A few days ago i make a large number of tests and see funny thing. On DX12 significant memory consumption, so much so that I could not load my OpenWorld. (32RAM+12VRAM) Game stable crashed -> 'Out of video memory'.
At the same time without reload OS от DX11 all load fine.

PS of course i set swapfile size to 'System managed size' on OS set it to 32GB.

PSS For sample you can go to Hogwarts Legacy (which based on same Unreal Engine 4) thread and read how much people write about crash. One of interesting solution -> return back to DX11 API.

People don't understand that just switching APIs won't do anything magical. It takes far more than that to get performance especially since 11 and 12 are so drastically different. If you develop for 12 like you did for 11 you probably won't see any gains and might even see losses.

I've never read so much BS in one comment. BASIC? Who the hell still uses BASIC? Except some kids learning programming in school ...
What has Machine Learning to do with graphics programming and what is THE CORE? I guess he / she watched too much SciFy. And Assembly? Pffffuuuu, I guess he / she meant Assembler Code, but sure ... No wonder he got banned :-)
