Weather mechanics

After the last update with the weather, one gets the feeling that game design is done by people who do not play the game themselves. The update changed the mechanics of the game a lot. Previously, it was possible to explore the world and enjoy the game, while experiencing difficulties with the weather. And now the game is to stand at the base with a hammer and repair your buildings. It is very boring and the desire to play it disappears.
In addition, the meaning in buildings made of glass and aluminum completely disappears.
Such updates should first be checked on test servers, and then released to all players...
Now I'll have to wait for everything to be fixed, because I definitely won't play this.

I agree. My friend and I just got on and in less than 10 minutes 5 flash lightning storms and non stop storms besides that. Every flash of lightning lags us to the point of standing still Never had this problem before the update. Now all we can do is stand still in our base and do nothing else. Until they fix this crap I'm done with this game. Sad honestly cause I was really enjoying it. Almost every tree near us is destroyed and/or on fire after every single lightning strike. Annoying cause you can't get resources to come back

Yes, now storms now cause damage to stone, glass and aluminum receive even more damage, wood generally crumbles into pieces. At the same time, storms occur regularly, as on schedule, and you are forced to do nothing but repair the base.

It seems to me that it’s just that the game designer himself doesn’t play his own game, so this update came out

Its sad because its becoming a worthless game and non stop lag issues on top of. I get its a work in progress and takes time which is fine but this is beyond ridiculous. If I want to watch everything I build destroyed or stand and do nothing I can look outside or a picture on my phone or computer. A so called warning of these storms and sudden almost non stop lightning storms every few minutes is ridiculous

That's the thing, missions before the update took a lot of time to complete, but it was enjoyable, and now it's just the most boring swotting with a hammer.

I'm playing a game on hard in Outpost mode, and my building is made of stone and reinforced glass and i haven't received any damage yet. I was really worried about this aspect of the update.

everything takes damage except concrete eventully game is ruined

This has me concerned, so I just loaded my Outpost easy mode game which has a lot of outdoor constructions made of wood like bridges and decking etc, and i waited for two storms and so far no damage. Does it take longer than a couple of storms to show any damage? or is it because it's in easy mode?

Stone gets damages with Orange or above storms which easy mode doesn't have

every time I check back in for updates to see whether I should play this game again I quickly see that no I shouldn't even bother. this dev team clearly has no clue what their game is like to play properly and throw whatever they think sounds cool in at the time with zero planning or thought as how to to make it work or how to integrate it in a way that isn't complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, this was the case with the temperature rework, the armour durability system, the mounts, the new creatures etc etc. buying this game is basically paying to do the job of balancing and QA for the team who blatantly dont bother with testing or dont listen to their testers and seem offended whenever the playerbase sees how stupid what they are doing is and complains

Thanks, i just noticed this even playing on hard in Outpost mode, the storms don't go above yellow which confirms what you have said.
