Can trees grow back?

Is there a way to regrow trees in the open world?

Not at this time. I believe the Devs have said they plan to add resource regen but it’s not in yet

I chopped down trees around my base in about 10 hours of play over 100 in now and I have about 12 trees regrowing. So it seems they do but very slowly.

I haven't played Icarus yet but I'm thinking of starting a run but can anyone confirm the above that Trees do regrow.

Or at least the ability to regrow or plant trees, I can't seem to find a conclusive answer.

No they don't grow yet. But... you don't need them much because you have some alternatives and if you need them a lof you have in open world a lot to chop of them :)
But I also want that they grow...

It's weird... trees regrew during beta... why'd they stop this?
