Ship recall beacon. When it doesn't work...

Doing Highrise Construction and I immediately dropped my drop ship beacon near my buildsite to bring my ship over so I could free up inventory space and have a storage pod near me and the site ate my beacon and didn't bring the ship over.

Frankly, a warning that the dropship recall beacon won't work in an area would be good, or at least make it so it doesn't immediately disappear when thrown if it doesn't work.
