It feels wrong that suits can load oxite "rocks" into the oxygen slot.

The oxygen slot is for the oxygen bladder or for a metal O2 tank.

Build the oxidizer.

Does filling the canteen at a lake give a chance to have infested water stored in the canteen?
What I mean is, is the sickness RNG if you fill it from a lake?
Sometimes the character gets sick and sometimes not from canteen lake water?

nope you cannot get sick from a canteen, period.
