One Hitter Quitter WITH Naneo Armer

So on planet, in the snow, wearing the Dongtain suit, and the full set of Naneo armor. Myself and two others encounter a Polar Bear in our travels. We have long bows and flint arrows so, three of us, no big deal (we were cocky). We all had elevated health bars from foodems we had engordged on.
First arrow into his butt, he rushes us (the other two are in Fur Armor). Arrows begin to fly. Some crit hits some misses some body hits. Albino fluff butt reaches my first co-lander and one swipe, dead. The arrows continue, he rushes my second co-lander. Another single swipe, dead. Im flinging arrows as fast as I can. He rushes me. I have a full Naneo suit on plus my elevated health bar so I should be able to take at least one hit. Hes down into the red on his health. I've got this. Hes rushing fast, my arrows are flying just as fast. Hes in my face, we are nose to nose. I get one more arrow off, he gets his big paw up, one swipe....IM DEAD. So much for that Naneo armor!
We all open our maps to compare who has the least to lose upon respawn, its me. I respawn and begin my run. I get to my co-landers and get them revived. I get to my effects and get them back on. I look at my inventory....My Naneo armor isn't even taken down in durability. It is still 100%. How, How I ask you. I had an elevated health bar and a full Naneo suit on and one swipe from albino fluff butt and I am dead but my armor is still 100%.

Be happy they haven't figured out yet how much they are going to make you pay for repairing that thing and all the other armor....

Wait a 1500 + pound mass of Muscle with Paws bigger then your head and 10 inch claws killed you in a single hit? NO WAY!:) Kidding but yeah normally I am 1 or 2 hit by those things if I dont move quick enough

This game doesn't know how to do combat. You can easily one-shot anything that's not a bear or elephant and those can typically one-shot you instead. Neither is particularly engaging. I get it, this isn't a combat game but at some point, we're gonna have to find something (without sarcasm or cynicism) to put in the "the game does this well" column...

I can one shot anything in game with the rifle and all but the Polar or elephant with a Long Bow and flints. If you get a crit head shot from Stealth

its a polar bear theyve always been OP id stop crying and learn how to kill them. /shrug dont need a 14 page essay on why polar bears are bad mmmkay

That armor is not worth it. I don't care what anyone says it's not worth taking up half of your drop ship cargo in place of tools and other gear the workshop Armour does not give you more armor then fur armor which can be easily made.
All you really getting out of that armor is a little extra carrying weight in a little extra stam LOL.
Oh and by the way I solo polar bears all the time with a bow they're not that hard just unforgiving

I wear the Naneo only for climate purposes. That alone has value, to be able to run right to the snow and get to business. I realized the same as you very early on that I might as well be running around with no armor at all than to count on the Naneo to protect me in a fight.

Yup.. Climate protection in Heat and Cold is better then the rest. The other bonuses for full set offset the Armor issues as none of the Armor is really very good

While funny, just be glad you didn't have inventory space expansions installed. Those would simply be gone when you picked up your stuff.

I like the way it read like a story line. Way to set it up for us. Those damn long claws seem to slide right into the only spot where armor doesn't protect and you bleed out. Luckily your armor is still at 100% for the next Polar Bear encounter. LMAO

...but you also have to spend forever crafting fur armor. Anything from the workshop, from tools to mods and armor, are intended to be time savers. You don't have to spend 30-60 minutes attempting to craft fur armor for those tougher missions. They give downsides to balance out the time saved. Take a knife and you can save time killing less animals, or take a pick and you save time mining stone/iron as two examples. It can take a long time killing animals to get enough fur/leather to make fur armor. When you have 5 hours to complete a mission, every second counts.
