This is going to probably stir the pot for some players and teammates but at the same time this item is kind of troll to even keep there. Unless the plan is, at some point for it to be used as intended. I really don't see a purpose for it and I spent 125 exotic points on it for not reason. I could already see my friends on the map and set waypoints that they could see.
2 options to changing this could be either deleting the item and refunding it or make it so it gives a minimap on your screen? or maybe it can be a hotbar item beside G where you can look down at a map, kind of like minecraft.

I just got one to test it .. my hope was extra Waypoints (not just 1 and maybe the players appear on the Compass HUD when you look there way. COst is not that big a deal doing vein drops with friends already have the good Armor and pick axe:)

I just crafted one because I was curious, but obviously dumb., haha! Now I look at it like insurance. In case they patch the game to make it useful, I will just lose 5% speed. These are meaningful player choices if only they can balance it out. I just finished Payday Extraction solo and it was a brutul grind. Though admittedly I had fun. L./

Yeah but you only lose teh 5$ speed for a single run then switch it out and leave it in Storage in orbit in hopes of a fix

Yeah I was pretty disappointed, I mean I love the game regardless. Just feels like a lot of things are there but have no purpose in the end. :/

This! I really wish they would focus on balancing the talent and research trees. Then lets everyone respec for free for a time? I think that would be the best solution.
