Help no Polar Bears

Hello 2 friends and I are currently doing one of the new missions (
ADVANCED ORDER: Stockpile
SUPPLY MUNITIONS AND ADVANCED CONSUMABLES
), for that you need polar bear fur, but we don't find any polar bears because whoever has a tip for us what it can be or where to look.

I've crafted almost everything else for this mission and I'm about to go find polar bears to kill on the way up to the second drop pod. I'm hoping to find them somewhere between K10 and I7. Sure hope the mission map isn't bugged and without polar bears.

Maybe starting in O-12 to L-14 is the area. I haven't gone over there yet so who knows. I'll check that first before I head up to the second pod.

I think this is the first time I've heard of somebody not running into polar bears and being sad about that. Go figure.

Oddly enough, last time I went to the larger, northwestern arctic biome (entrances at K-10 and J-13), I though it strange I didn't run into any polar bears, though the absurd wolf population was back just like beta times. The southeastern one, O-12 through L-14, as my esteemed colleague suggests, has been consistently populated with the horrid beasts in prior missions, for me anyway.

All that said, I haven't tried this mission yet so who knows. It could be a bug, that'd certainly fit the theme these days.

Can confirm. You'll find your Polar Bears starting in L14. More like the bottom right corner of K13

We just did the polar bear pelts by putting a bed in the mine in the middle of M14 (middle of path). Put a bed in it, when you go outside there are bear(s) one or two. Then go to bed (even if it’s not bedtime) wake up and a new batch of bears will arrive. Took us 30 minutes to get 150 pelt. The bears are in a different zone then the wolves, they are never at the same zone.

Oh, extra tip, make the bed in the cave a respawn point, and keep a chest with a extra gun and bullets in the cave. To take with you when you died.
