No polar bears at all??

Im currently on a stckpile mission and ive done everything but get the 150 polar bear pelts but this seems to be impossible. After 5 hours searching every inch of the polar biome not a single polarbear anywhere?? ive put out tons of bait all over and nothing but wolves and snow leapoards show up

is this a bug ? should i just leave this hopeless mission or is there a way to find theese freakin bears?

Some Polar region missions do not spawn polar bears, from the missions I have done. I found if there are snow leopards there are no polar bears and if there are polar bears no leopards.

Oh they are such great developers that make missions that cannot be completed......uninstall is getting closer by the minute.....

I've noticed that exiting the game and reentering will reset or move or reorganize all the animals. So, you could try that a few times.

Still crazy that on the first few missions if you wander into the polar area you'll have dozens of polar bears humping you but the mission where you actually need them they don't show up?

the Arctic in the Middle has wolves and Snow Leopards. the One in the Far SE is Polar bear country

As they have said if you want polar bears go to southern glacier if it is available to travel to on that particular mission, the Artic zone only has wolves, leopards and rabbits never seen a polar bear in the Artic zone yet but always see them in Southern Glaciers

I'm having the opposite of your problem...polar bears are appearing in the temperate biome; don't know what level they are, as I just run away

We just did the polar bear pelts by putting a bed in the mine in the middle of M14 (middle of path). Put a bed in it, when you go outside there are bear(s) one or two. Then go to bed (even if it’s not bedtime) wake up and a new batch of bears will arrive. Took us 30 minutes to get 150 pelt. The bears are in a different zone then the wolves, they are never at the same zone.

Oh, extra tip, make the bed in the cave a respawn point, and keep a chest with a extra gun and bullets in the cave. To take with you when you died.

If you have a Gun and ammo go one better build a 2 story stone building and just have fun:)

lol it will be a buffet for polar bears unless they actually give concrete more durability but stone tower and guns would make it easier just have a bed ready just in case they manage to break through the walls and get up to you

We did this as well, can confirm Wendybeks post works.

You have to go all the way down south to L14 and the PBs are spawning in down there like crazy.

They can hit a stone tower, and it will shake so violently, that you will fall of the side of it.
Happened 2 times to me now.
Once polar bear/stone tower, other time brown bear/wood tower.

Best way is to face them head on on free/unobstructed terrain.
Shoot them in face until they are close, then sprint past them on either side, turn around, shoot them in face until they are close, sprint past….. repeat.

Just make sure you have enough stamina/stamina regen before you start.

And in case of brown bear, pray that no wolves or boars join the party.
