Good luck and happy prospecting! Steer clear of the axes aside from the MXC one too! They're all worse than iron
i'm not saying the bow isn't flawed, but it does do more damage than the longbow. i used to crit bears for 840ish (on a headshot) with the longbow, i now crit them for 950ish. it's not much of an increase, but it is an increase
It's like the devs don't want to give someone an unfair advantage, like their attempting to balance the items, or increase the perceived value of the stuff you craft in missions.
Why? what is it unbalancing? It's not PVP, it's not competitive. And you can only play with people on your friends list, so it's not like it's a stranger lording it over you, and rubbing it n your face that he has cooler stuff then you (which in most games, actually motivates people to go get that stuff themselves).
The ONLY advantage to having workshop stuff are the few items that give you some kind of global buff, like the one pickaxe that reduces your encumbrance penalty. If a workshop items requires exotics to purchase, they should all have some weird "magicky" bonus, due to exotic powered tech.
