Talent Tree for 3rd Character
Out of boredom I'm starting a 3rd character with a focus on solo play and cooking/food buffs.

Based on a lot of solo game play, and determining what I think is useful and worthless, here's my stock talent tree build that I'm going to go after:

https://icarusbuilds.app/b0/PsBv

I primarily use a bow and I always have it equipped so I went with the running speed with bows. I'm not so sure the 10% dmg and critical hit buffs, etc.. are really all that important from my experience, so I didn't go down the bow tree this time.

Agree, disagree?

In the solo tree I think the buildables weigh less talent that you skipped is really good.

I was trying to fit that one and kept going over the other talents to get that point from somewhere else, but I couldn't.

too much solo and not enough resourses. You dont need hunting either.

You want instant stone chance and auto wood pickup. This alone speeds up your harvest life by like 50%.

I would humbly suggest like this, and you still have 3 points to spare

Some of the changes are definitely useful, and some I've used before in beta and didn't pick again because they fell into the 'handy to have' but not totally necessary category. Like chopping wood straight into your inventory. I liked this skill and it's cool, but not essential. And the 1% chance to instantly mine the ore. Too low of a percentage to be useful to me. However, the 20% more ore from mining is one I may figure out a way to get down to if I decide to take away from the solo tree. You've planted some doubt in my head and I'll reevaluate before I get to those areas.

Right now I'm putting all points into the cook/farm tree because I started out this character on the Agriculture mission. Figured it would be a good time to fill out that tree and get some use out of it too. So I have some time to decide on the remainder of the points because I'm only lvl 10.

the 1% procs just enough to be the most useful skill in the game. Chopping down entire cave walls with 1 hit - and earning 10-12k of strone - happens all the time :)

Think of it this way - what do you spend 95% of the time in a mission doing? Running, chopping, and mining. Anything that speeds it up is a must-have skill.

Same with auto-wood pick up. Saves you so much time. Not to mention saves you from developing carpal syndrome

I can't even imagine myself playing without seasoned logsman (pick up wood) or lucky strike (instant mine chance) anymore. Picking up each individual log piece, with several of them falling through the earth is just a pain in the arse. The instant mine chance is even more useful for mining rocks than it is for ore. I typically try to mine the biggest rocks just to get that chance to instantly mine them, because the amount of stone can speed production considerably.

I've been going back over this several times in the last day. It's been a give and take (on skills I want, need, don't care for, etc.) to come to a projected point distribution. I've used some of the advice above and based on my play style and what I think is important and useful, this is the new one:

Solo build:

I focused heavily on foods, carry weight, stamina and run speed.
