For Anyone Considering Running the (Payday : Extraction Mission)
Bring 5 or 6 Full Cans of Biofuel with you. You're going to need at least 5... I didn't know this until after finding the Exotic Ore Node & setting up the Extractor.

Also be aware - it takes 30mins for each biofuel can to empty - so be prepared as you will have to wait at least 2.5 real life hrs before it completes...... Nice little bonus after all the grinding! Take a building (pref Concrete) as well as what you need to survive a couple of nights... LOTS of wolves spawn so at least something to do. :)

Yea it was a terrible mission.

We're currently on it and the resource grind was too imense, halfing the cost of electronics or/removing the composite cost from the radar would be a welcome change.

But as a tip for the biofuel, just bring your composter with you, that way you can alternate between two cans. Unless you encounter the refueling bug haha...

Bring 7, it can use up to 6.5 cans ;)

Good thing we already prepared 8. xD

We also found 4 exotics nodes around 1km from our base.

Can you find more nodes during this mission?, we're currently 4 players which could net 400 exotics to station then

If you can manage to, Build & bring at least 1 more Extractor to run 2 or more at the same time on the one Exotic Node. Also, & Most Important,,, a Repair Hammer. Wolves broke the one Extractor I started with, had to run all the way back to base to craft another. Didn't have enough Electronics, spent more time looking for & Mining Copper Ore. Then made 2 trips from base to the Dig Site bringing the Extractors. All in all, the time spent after the Wolves broke my 1st Extractor took me about 6 Hours (Longer). But at the least, I just Finished this Mission a Few Minutes ago.

Is concrete really needed? Can I use stone? Concrete seems expensive...

Stone is good. Just make sure you have an angled roof, because a flat one can collapse from the weight of the snow.
Oh and have 2 campfires with you and 50 wood for each one.

ah thanks for the helpful tips im closing in on building all the stuff for this mission. Didnt know about the angled roof and snow thats really realistic!

Brought 6 extractors, but could only fit 2 on the node lol

On this at the moment, currently waiting for the ungodly time for the extractor to finish. If they were going to make it take so long per exotic, I wish they had also just reduced the number you would mine from this mission - the whole point is that it opens up the ability to find them in any other mission anyway, isn't it? So would have expected just 100 or so as a taster to get you familiar with the process.

I think the biggest problem I have with it, other than the sheer amount of time it takes for the extractor to finish (I have built a 1x2 stone house above it, with my composter full of sticks to refill the 4 cans I have as I need to, so I'm safe, at least) is just needing 12 composite for the Radar. That alone is what makes it such a tedious electronics grind just to get started.

What I would like to see changed:
1. Make electronics craft 10 per unit, like nails. Or even 5, instead, would be a vast improvement and feel less like you have to restrict the number of electrical devices you can make on any given mission.
2. Make the Radar cost Aluminium and Titanium instead of Steel and Composites.
3. Cap the exotic node at 100 resources to reduce the amount of time you have to spend on-site, as well as halve the amount of time each one takes to extract.

My solace is that I never have to do this particular mission again, and that at least I know what the deal is with things, so can plan a bit more in advance.

I wish I knew that I could have fit multiple onto the node, I wonder if I have time to run back and make another now! I've already got like 150 mined though, so I think I'm most of the way there.
