buildings being destroyed by the weather is very sad
In an open world survival game, nothing is better than having several bases built across the map to help you on expeditions, because in a game that every time we come back we have to build it all over again, the bases are destroyed while we are playing the game, Please change it, it's not enough having to do it all over each descent we still have to stay all the damn hour fixing and losing bases, boring, meaningless, and a lot of game breakers.

Rush to Stone Structures. Storms won't Destroy Stone, & Fire can't Burn it.

I feel that makes sence in a Survival game.

If you are wanting something to last for more than a storm, use stone and you won't have that problem.

I only use thatch if I need a camp to sleep through the night really.
Wood I use until I can make stone.

My normal routine, scout things out, find where I want to set up, smelt iron, create anvil, then masonry bench. Convert base into stone and then its problem solved.

Caves don't fall down.

Agree that storm damage on tier one structures is acceptable and that later tiers would be more stable. Having only recently built an aluminum building, it was more than a little disillusioning that it took wind damage at what appeared to be the same extent as a wood structure. The accolades section left me wondering how fleshed out the aluminum path is seeing as it is labeled as iron structures. Perhaps the repair bench "coming soon" will make mass repairs much easier. Totes a full release title, not early access.

To get the repair bench you will need a talent in the repair tree. That will cost you 13 talent points. The repair bench will probably allow you to repair equipment without the proper crafting bench. One bench to repair them all.

I love how unrelenting the storms are. Like what others said build with stone makes sense... Wood and thatch no good in weather like that.

I build wood base into a cave entrance (just outside cave debuff) and rush to stone, can do that within the first 30 mins of setting up.
